The Dawn Attack of the Crucified Monster Anthem - Music of October 2017

Another month has gone by, and to be honest, this one was difficult to get through. I was hoping it would be a month full of getting serious about my work, tackling projects (personal and professional), and just preparing to make any sacrifices so would ensure this would go as stress-free as possible.

That was not the case, I started to feel like a dark cloud was hanging over me and lost motivation to write. My only sources of happiness were my music, and playing video games. As I slowly regain that motivation, I have songs reflecting on how personal moments that have impacted me thus far.

5. Trevor Morris - The Dawn Will Come

This month, it starts off with some video game OSTs. Earlier, I decided to expand my horizons and began to explore the Dragon Age universe, starting with Inquisition. It's a fantasy game full of deep lore and epic moments. There is still much that I do not understand, and I feel like whenever I play, I don't fully read everything, such as codex entries, i…

The First Dragonborn to Rise Again

I'm going to write about this DLC first since it's my favourite. I spent so many hours on this DLC the two times I have gone through it and sometimes I would never return to Skyrim until I felt like everything on Solstheim was done.

There was another before us, known as Miraak, and the thing I've come to learn about Skyrim since I started playing Dragon Age: Inquisition, is that this game was never meant to be lore-deep. We find ourselves at a position where we add to the lore ourselves if that's what we care about. Simple: Miraak is brainwashing the people of Solstheim while trapped in Apocrypha, hoping to have his temple built, and gather enough power, influence, and dragon souls to return to Solstheim. We have to stop him, yay.
It makes you wonder how on Earth Miraak came to be one of my fictional crushes eh?
The greatest thing about this DLC is that it gives us a whole new area to explore; more quests and places to just fudge around whatever you want to do. Rememb…

New Horizons

I haven't blogged in almost two weeks! My, how time goes by, but when it's midterm season I tend to usually go silent until it's over.

However, with a strike happening all over the province, not only is it fueling half a million people's anxiety as well as mine, but it's also impacting our future. I understand why this is happening, but it's not a good time for students to have everything put on hold, especially if your program is heavily dependent on in-class labs with hands-on learning. I just really hope it doesn't last for too long because I'm due to graduate in less than 6 months; I don't want another setback from that. You study and study and when it gets postponed that can either be relieving or annoying. I'm not trying to rush my professional life, I'm just a hard worker who wants to succeed without too many speed-bumps.
In the mean time, with almost nothing to do at this point, I'm broadening my horizons, and trying to break my …

I Wanna Be Like Wonder Woman

I never followed the DC universe, until now. There was only one movie worthy of making me want to crawl out from my little rock and glue my eyes to what was happening.

And that movie, was Wonder Woman.

There have been many movies out there where women are strong and independent before this one came out. But I feel like Wonder Woman brings back the media's attention about the importance of having more roles for women in the film industry like this. Seriously, this is what I call an influential movie; I would rather see little girls and teens of today's generation be inspired by Diana instead of....well.....Ana Steele or Bella Swan. So here, I'm going to be sharing my thoughts about the movie.

I've always loved superhero movies, but whenever we had a woman kicking ass in them, those were always minor roles, until now. Diana lives in a secluded island of female warriors created by Zeus to protect the world from the threat of the God of War, Ares. Until the events of Worl…

Project Dreamshadow

I've kept everyone in the dark about this (unless you follow me on Instagram). Makeup is all about expressing yourself, and once I got more into that scene, I never realized there were so many unique brands out there. Some of them were meant for different types of women: Some could be for the very elegant like Lancome, some that are internationally inclusive like Fenty Beauty, some for those who like cuteness like Too Faced, and then there's some for those who cherish their individuality like Urban Decay.

I then discovered an indie brand called Sugarpill when watching some tutorial videos. MUA's in those vids were using their own custom palettes made from them. A custom eyeshadow palette is like a dream, and the bonus was that Sugarpill had the type of cuteness to it that I liked: hearts, pink, and even medical themed! We're talking lipsticks that look like capsules and a heart-shaped logo with a cross in the center. How adorable is that if you're looking to become…

Game of Thrones Season 7 - The Best and Worst

The following article contains spoilers, please read at your own discretion!

Well, I made it through another Game of Thrones season, and I felt like it was too short you know? But since we're nearing the epic conclusion and there aren't many characters left alive, then it's no wonder.

I remember season 6 had so many great moments, I was unable to pick anything that was considered bad. But not this year: there has been a mix of times where I was either yay or nay while sitting on the couch with a snack and my family.

So, it wasn't easy to choose, as usual, but I love to do this, so I try to pick. The best and worst moments of every GOT season are different for everyone, it all depends on who you got the back of, so this is what mine are.

Shall we begin? Let's start with the best moments, and lucky for me, the good outweighs the bad:

1. Arya exterminates the remains of House Frey

Right from the beginning of the season, we know that shit is going to go down. Many of us…

To Live One More Day

I swear, these dreams sneak up on me, and Sabaton seems to be the band I dream about the most when band dreams happen.

I stayed up late last night playing the demo of PvZ GW2 on my newly created Origin account, and I swear that must be what's taken up a lot of space on my C drive, I'll have to be careful. I'm hard at work in replacing the majority of my social media activity (especially Facebook) with writing, video games, and other hobbies. The less drama and politics, the better. Instagram isn't that bad, but there's still the matter of unicorns due to some cosmetic pages I follow, and it's becoming a pain. I'll have to crawl under my rock this week for certain reasons I will not mention.

I read another chapter of my Wonder Woman novel before falling asleep and I've been thinking about Sabaton ever since I woke up from that dream, even during the walk on Burlington beach with my mom this morning. It's like my brain is telling me "Time to thin…
